Gill Sensors & Controls foundedGill Sensors becomes its own company, expanding to new facilities at Ampress Park. MaxiMet compact weather stations also launch.

Homologated F1 sensorsThe Gill Ultrasonic Fuel Flow Meter becomes the only homologated fuel measurement device, supplied to F1 and WEC.
2010
Supplying the MODGill wins a large contract with the British Ministry of Defence for specialist detector products.
2004
Gill Sensors foundedA new business unit set up to design and manufacture inductive, ultrasonic and capacitive measurement sensors.
2001
WindSonicBecomes the most innovative and most imitated wind sensor on the market.
1996
WindObserverThe 2-axis ultrasonic anemometer is developed and launched.
1991
First ultrasonic gas meterGill partners with British Gas to develop the first ultrasonic gas meter with no moving parts.
1988
First 3-axis anemometerGill releases its first 3-axis anemometer.
1985
The company is foundedGill is established by Mike and Lesley Gill in Lymington, UK, and launches its first ultrasonic anemometer.
